Key Accountabilities
- Execute and govern Data Governance Implementation Plan, including strategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities across Abu Dhabi government entities
- Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance representative and ensure clear accountability for principal information assets & data protection at all level across Abu Dhabi government entities
- Support in rollout of data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications of entities behavior, policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools, and data architecture.
- Serve as a liaison Government Digital Technology & Data Office and Government entities , to ensure of protection tools & guidelines of sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood, and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
- Oversee inventory of the data management information maps, including authoritative systems and owners across Abu Dhabi government entities to achieve their objectives; and resolve issues escalated from data governance representatives .
Preferred Experience And Exposure
- Proven working experience as Data Governance expert who has overseen successful implementation across enterprise/government-wide.
- Strong public sector expertise to understand user infrastructure and use cases with knowledge of data governance tools including best in class data protection practices across the globe.
- Strong knowledge of data-related governance regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues.
- Exceptional influencing and collaboration skills across all levels, particularly senior and influential stakeholders.
