Key Accountabilities
  • Conduct studies and literature reviews on large-scale genomic research and analysis methods to support review of methodologies, techniques, protocols and tools intended to enhance the ability of the research communities in the Genome Program
  • Manage all clinical-related research activities, coordinate and communicate with the relevant stakeholder institutions (e.g., different clinical units in the hospitals, health centers, research centers / laboratories) to ensure readiness for incorporating and making best use of genomic data to advance the application of genomics in medical science and clinical care
  • Assess needs for research and research training in genomic sciences, medicine and related areas to ensure adequate resources and capability across the scientific working groups involved in the Program, and provide recommendation for interventions
  • Facilitate discussions with relevant parties to brainstorm and resolve technical challenges or issues related to genomics research and application of data raised by scientific working groups and related entities
  • Track the progress through participation in key meetings / discussions with the scientific working groups and provide status updates to the Strategic Program Management & Implementation section for overall Program monitoring
  • Facilitate the development of technical training and graduate development program for omics studies by coordinating with the relevant stakeholders, scientific experts e.g., genomic science experts, education partners, training providers, etc.
Preferred Experience And Exposure
  • Possess scientific expertise in human genomics, functional genomics, population / statistical genetics and bioinformatics. Experience in large-scale genomic data analysis
  • Demonstrated understanding in genomic research methodologies, protocols and techniques
  • Experience interacting and working with scientific communities and medical practitioners
  • Knowledge of technological advancement in the field of genomic research
