Key Accountabilities
- Drive and define ADEO’s policy lab agenda to set policies for Abu Dhabi across the various domains of Economic, Wellbeing and People & Future of Government and for complex /challenging issues. Distill insights from leadership mandates, research & analysis and strategies to enable effective, innovative and evidenced-based policy design
- Lead the Policy Lab team by providing guidance, supervision and mentorship to team members. Deepen capacity and capability of the team to create a Centre of Excellence in Policy Design and evaluation
- Partner with government entities to provide advisory related to Economic, Wellbeing, People & Future of Government policies. Champion experimentation and innovative policy design, and challenge conventions to set best in class “standards”, policy creation and evaluation frameworks and elevate policy design approaches
- Work closely with Strategy and Future Foresight functions to form multi-disciplinary teams to develop cross-cutting policies, with no clear owner and ensure alignment with the overall Vision and Aspiration
- Engage with practitioners, think tanks and other external partnerships to conduct knowledge sharing, deepen capability and drive understanding of cross-cutting issues
- Represent Abu Dhabi in international panels to promote knowledge sharing and contribute to thought leadership in the field of public policy
Preferred Experience And Exposure
- Experience in Problem structuring methods, Public policy design and evaluation
- Exposure to future foresight and horizons scanning
- Exposure to use of behavioral science and social science in policy development
- Experience dealing with complexity, arbitrating strategy and policy trade-offs and complementarities
- Experience working with senior stakeholders to facilitate translation of vision and aspirations into policy directions
