Key Accountabilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor and provide counselling as well as access to research / subject matter experts (SMEs) / Think Tanks for ideation, incubation and ad-hoc requests as per Chairman’s priorities or agenda to ensure smooth execution of projects / assignments identified by the Chairman’s Office.
  • Lead and provide oversight on the initiatives related to ideation, studies, data analysis and development of insights; that contribute to the prioritization of opportunities, risks and advancement of key projects.
  • Establish the governance structure and lead the overall monitoring of project progress and facilitate problem solving to inform key decisions, ensuring that all special programmes / projects, initiatives and associated activities meet specific standards and intended strategic objectives.
  • Foster strategic partnerships, networks and alliances with key stakeholders to explore new opportunities and key initiatives that contribute to the priorities of the Chairman’s Office.
  • Direct and provide oversight to the team on management of ad-hoc tasks within the Chairman’s Office, where necessary, ensuring timeliness and standards of delivery.
Preferred Experience And Exposure
  • Proven working experience in Government and / or Government related entities with a successful track-record as a senior advisor or political counsel to Executive leadership.
  • Strong working knowledge of government policy processes and experience understanding political context and providing strategic and risk-based advisory
  • Extensive experience in planning and implementing key strategic initiatives, special projects and assignments of a similar nature / capacity, with solid understanding of business principles (e.g., strategic and business planning, business development, etc.)
  • Experience dealing with complexity, arbitrating strategy and policy trade-offs and complementarities is preferred
