Key Accountabilities
  • Lead and monitor capital projects’ financial audit planning and activities to ensure delivery of services are satisfactory in terms of quality and timeliness.
  • Provide oversight on the auditing of capital projects’ finances and accounts against audit standards and statutory requirements prescribed by legislation as adopted by the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority, to ensure transparent accounting practices and full traceability.
  • Oversee the examination of capital projects’ financial statements and transaction records to certify reliability of data, including payment certificates, cash flow statements, approval of invoices, and other relevant documentation indicative of the capital projects’ finances.
  • Manage the evaluation and improvement of capital projects’ financing controls and financial reporting to effectively identify gaps and potential risks, analyze root causes of financial control inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions to ensure adequacy of controls.
  • Provide guidance and oversee the preparation of finance audit reports and opinions to ensure audit findings have been fairly presented in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
Preferred Experience And Exposure
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or related certification.
  • Proven working experience as a financial auditor with exposure to the applicable policies and compliance regulations for Government / Government-related entities.
  • Strong working knowledge in project-related financing, project transactions, financial audit procedures, as well as applicable accounting standards and principles.
