Key Accountabilities
  • Lead and provide strategic oversight for delivery of capital projects from planning to handover and manage the integration and dependencies across the portfolios in alignment with strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Oversee the progress of capital projects to ensure on-time delivery at different stages of the project according to approved plans and standards, and work with Programme and Project Managers within the department to resolve project completion impediments.
  • Implement robust project delivery governance mechanism to provide effective oversight for ongoing risk identification and mitigation / corrective plans, including regular performance monitoring and reporting and support in the development of best-in-class regulations, standards, procedures.
  • Monitor performance of project delivery partners, owners and service providers (e.g., consultants, contractors etc.) and take action to secure the right resources, capability and commitment in order to achieve outcomes of project delivery, including proactive management of non-performing service providers.
  • Serve as subject-matter expert to provide advice, and actively transfer knowledge across government entities to promote best practices and build capability.
Preferred Experience And Exposure
  • Proven working experience and track record in delivery and managing portfolios of capital projects, across full project life-cycle, with breadth of experience across different portfolios.
  • Proven working experience in project management with exposure to the applicable policies and processes for Government / Government-related entities.
  • Knowledgeable in the overall project management processes which includes initiation, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting and familiar with robust suite of project management tools.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is an advantage.
