Key Accountabilities
- Study the structural shifts in Abu Dhabi and global economy, assess the current economic and financial developments to shape future economic strategies and plans in alignment with Abu Dhabi’s strategic direction
- Guide teams to analyze diverse macro-economic and micro-economic data and viewpoints and formulate possible scenarios and narratives to explore opportunities and challenges of the evolving economy
- Drive the development of insights from research and evidence, preparation of reports and recommendations to solve long-range problems with economic implications; provide technical leadership to the team through coaching and mentorship
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams from Policy Lab, Future Foresight and other departments in ADEO to drive critical and strategic projects to ensure strategic planning efforts are synergized
- Provide advisory and influence the development of economic strategies and plans and actively engage with leaders in ADEO and related entities to ensure alignment with overall strategic vision
- Leverage public and private partnerships to promote knowledge sharing and build networks; represent ADEO in international panels to enable knowledge exchange and elevate Abu Dhabi’s position on the world stage
Preferred Experience And Exposure
- Substantial experience and relevant qualifications in the field of economics.
- Extensive experience of working in a financial institution at a strategic level or as an Economic Advisor / Strategies Expert or similar role
- A substantial track record of effective interaction, influencing and collaboration with senior stakeholders in government and the private sector
- Proven track record of successful management and a leading role in the formulation of policies and strategies
- An understanding of federalized government and track record of relevant working relationships and critical networks
